Smart Financial Planning has a transparent charging policy

Financial Planning and Wealth Management advice is always paid for but confusion sometimes arises as to whether the fees are paid by the client, or whether the adviser receives payment via commission from products they have bought for their clients.

Smart Financial Planning works on a fee basis and is transparent about how it charges. It does not work on a commission basis. This allows clients to be sure that their interests are being taken care of, rather than the company being loyal to particular suppliers for commission. It also helps clients understand exactly what they are paying for.

Smart Financial Planning operates a simple and transparent fee system that ensures there is a complete separation between fees paid to Smart Financial Planning and arrangements made for our clients. This ensures complete impartiality and allows our clients to trust our judgement completely.

  • Plan Fee - 1% of all assets (excluding your home)
  • Implementation fee - 1% of all influenced assets (excluding your home)
  • Implementation fee - £500 per protection policy
  • Annual fee - 1% of all influenced assets and 0.5% of all other assets (excluding your home)

Depending on which of the below service standards are most suitable for you, there are minimum fees applied:

  • Smart Platinum
  • Smart Premium
  • Smart Property Platinum
  • Smart Property Premium

Please see the 4 service standards on the right hand side panel of this page.
